Today there are many ways to travel, but the travel ways are almost different. Maybe a small part is similar to other ways of travel. For instance, backpacking travel differ from tour travel trip so much. There are three huge differences.
One is an obvious difference” money”.Tour travel trip is usually expensive than backpacking travel. However, the spot which is chosen by people who want to travel by themselves is more various than tour travel trip people.
Another difference is time period. Backpackers can decide to length of time and appreciate the view leisurely. In contrast, travelers just follow schedule which is planned by tourism industry. If time’s up, you must go another place.
The other difference, backpackers need to find a place to stay but travelers don’t. Due to tourism industry’s arrangement, they just check in and check out. They don’t do anything just follow tour director’s step.
However, similarity between backpacking and tour travel trip just want to relax and take a rest for a while or reward a travel for effort of everyday life.

Hey, William, some of your statements are quite true, such as backpacking travels are more costly than tour travel trips and backpackers have to do nearly everything by themselves but travelers who join a tour doesn't have to do much but rely on a tour guide.

Also, it would be great if you could fix your first two sentences. I could only understand them by reading them in a Chinese way. :(
